Super Admin role
What is a Super Admin?
Section titled “What is a Super Admin?”A Super Admin is a platform-wide superuser who can:
- Switch between any organization using the organization selector in the sidebar
- Access all workspaces in any organization without needing to be linked via the Users tab
- View and manage all users across organizations, including other Super Admins
- Assign or revoke the Super Admin role to other users (only Super Admins can do this)
- Access advanced resources such as Logs, Feedback, Email Service configuration, Workflows, Pipeline settings, and Embeddings
Regular users (Admin and User roles) cannot see or interact with Super Admin features.
Organization switching
Section titled “Organization switching”Super Admins see an organization dropdown in the sidebar card (bottom-left). Clicking it opens a searchable list of all organizations in the platform. Selecting an organization changes the context for:
- Product list in the navbar
- Settings pages (Organization, Subscription, Products, Users)
- Agent installation and integrations
- Knowledge Base operations
- Playground and credit counter
The selected organization is persisted across sessions via local storage.
Restricted areas Super Admin
Section titled “Restricted areas ”The following features are visible only to Super Admin users:

Role protection
Section titled “Role protection”- Only a Super Admin can promote another user to Super Admin (via invite or role edit)
- Only a Super Admin can demote another Super Admin to Admin or User
- The Super Admin option appears with a distinct visual highlight (amber) in role selection forms
- When inviting a Super Admin, the workspace selection field is hidden (Super Admins have access to all workspaces)
Visibility rules
Section titled “Visibility rules”| Viewer | Sees in user list |

| Admin / User | Only users from their organization. Super Admins are hidden. |
| Super Admin | Users from the selected organization + all Super Admins from any organization (highlighted with a blue background). |
In the workspace user assignment list, Super Admins are excluded — they already have access to everything.
About Prodgy
Section titled “About Prodgy”Super Admins (and all users) can access version and environment information via the Help menu → About Prodgy in the navbar. This modal shows:
- Application version (frontend and backend)
- Environment name
- Last update date
- Version mismatch warnings
Super Admin management
Section titled “Super Admin management”The role can also be set directly in the database by updating the role field in the profiles table to superadmin.
