Validate Trial access using an allowlist
When the Trial plan is configured to validate access using a predefined allowlist, Prodgy checks the user’s email during onboarding. If the email is allowed, Trial access is granted and the email entry is marked as used.
Step by step Tip
Section titled “Step by step ”1) Enable Trial allowlist validation
Section titled “1) Enable Trial allowlist validation”- Open your organization subscription / plan settings
- Enable Trial access validation by list
This option should be enabled only when the Trial plan is configured with an allowlist.
2) User onboarding behavior (what happens during signup/onboarding)
Section titled “2) User onboarding behavior (what happens during signup/onboarding)”-
User enters an email and starts onboarding
-
Prodgy validates the email against the allowlist
- If the email exists with status available, access is granted.
- If the email is not found, access is denied with a clear message.
-
If allowed: Trial is activated
- Prodgy shows a success message (e.g., “Trial activated!”).
- The user proceeds to use the workspace.
-
If not allowed: access is restricted
- Prodgy displays an “access restricted” message informing the user they are not authorized for the Trial plan.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”- Allowed users can activate Trial and proceed normally.
- Users not in the allowlist are blocked with a clear UX message.
