Conversation History

Tip

The Playground automatically stores all your conversations, allowing you to resume previous interactions, organize chats, and maintain a complete history of your interactions with agents.

Conversation Sidebar

The Playground sidebar displays the list of all saved conversations. To access it:

• On large screens: click the menu button in the Playground header
• On small screens (mobile): the sidebar opens as a sliding panel

Each list item displays:

• Conversation title
• Date of the last interaction
• Active indicator (when selected)

Creating a Conversation

There are two ways to create a new conversation:

1. Click the ”+” button in the Playground header
2. Click the “New Conversation” button in the sidebar

The new conversation will be created and selected automatically. The default title is assigned based on the first message sent.

Selecting a Conversation

Click any conversation in the sidebar to load it in the message area. The complete message history will be displayed, allowing you to continue the interaction where you left off.

Note

Conversations use a cache system with a 5-minute validity. When selecting a recently accessed conversation, loading is instant.

Renaming a Conversation

The history list (both the inline header dropdown and the expanded sidebar) shows two hover action buttons on each row, to the right of the title:

• Pencil icon — enables inline editing of the chat name right there in the list.
• Trash icon — deletes the conversation after confirmation.

To rename:

1. Hover the conversation you want to rename
2. Click the pencil icon (immediately to the left of the trash icon)
3. Type the new name in the field that opens inline
4. Press Enter to save or Esc to cancel

Tip

A single click on a list item loads that conversation. Because the click already navigates, renaming is always performed via the dedicated pencil button — double-click (legacy) may still work but the button is the official path.

In the expanded sidebar (Sheet), renaming is also available via the conversation’s three-dot menu (Rename).

Archiving Conversations

You can archive conversations you no longer need to access frequently. This option is available in the expanded sidebar (Sheet), in the conversation’s three-dot menu:

1. Open the sidebar via the header menu button
2. Click the conversation’s options menu (three dots)
3. Select Archive

Archived conversations are removed from the main list but are not permanently deleted.

Deleting Conversations

There are three ways to delete a conversation:

1. Directly from the history list

1. Hover the conversation
2. Click the trash icon to the right of the title
3. Confirm the deletion in the dialog

2. From the open chat (header button palette)

When a conversation is open, the chat header shows an action button palette on the right. Next to the ”+” (new chat) button there is a trash icon that deletes the current conversation:

1. With the chat open, click the trash icon next to the ”+”
2. Confirm the deletion in the dialog

When you delete the chat you’re currently viewing, the Playground automatically returns to the empty home state — no messages, no selected chat.

3. From the expanded sidebar

1. Open the sidebar via the menu button
2. Click the conversation’s options menu (three dots)
3. Select Delete and confirm

Caution

Deleting a conversation is irreversible. All messages and associated data will be permanently removed.

History Loading

The conversation history uses lazy loading:

• Conversations are loaded progressively as you navigate through the list
• Recently accessed conversations are cached for 5 minutes for quick access
• The cache is automatically updated when creating, renaming, or deleting conversations
